Post Diwali Update.

Once again I’ve been remiss in carrying out my blurging duties.
I hope somebody out there is still reading.
This week, some pictures.

Bicycle Rickshaw
So far (we haven’t tried an elephant, yet), the least comfortable mode of transport we’ve experienced in India. You feel every bump and stone in the street. It's probably just as well that they can only manage a brisk walking pace.
One can only feel sorry for the man labouring, sometimes appearing to be struggling with an impossible task, up out of the saddle pushing like a Tour de France climber.
The journey to our nearest metro station takes only five minutes (I can walk in around ten) and costs less than a dollar.
Haemorrhoids are complimentary.

The View.
From our metro station platforms.
Visibility is about 1 kilometre, even though the traffic is not so heavy. The air quality is drastically poor. It hasn’t rained here for weeks – reminds me of home – dust, mainly from construction, is everywhere.
Not that I’m complaining. You just have to wonder why the British, with effective control of the entire Asian subcontinent - could have chosen to build their new capital anywhere. Why chose this particular (pun!) location?
Mai!
So, the bike ride, the Metro station, braving the polluted air that is seemingly a permanent feature at this time of year.
Why?
I was on a date with my little girl.
